Doroob Dives Deep with Social Emotional Learning
Innovative scuba diving program in Saudi Arabia sets the context for kids to learn empathy, practice teamwork, and develop crucial emotional intelligence skills.
Overview
Situation: After observing a need among Gen Z to develop social emotional skills, Doroob’s director, Dr. Solafa Batterjee, decided to use scuba diving as a fun, immersive way to learn these essential skills.
Solution: In partnership with Six Seconds, Doroob created a custom program integrating scuba diving with emotional intelligence assessments, activities and group coaching.
Results: The youth in the program reported an increased ability to collaborate with others, sense and interpret emotional data, and weigh the consequences of actions.

Doroob is also a Preferred Partner of Six Seconds. This program, designed specifically to help youth develop emotional intelligence skills in a fun, immersive environment, started in 2017.
Solution
