Emotional intelligence is the need of the hour in today’s world, which appears to be fragmented on several counts. The question today is of sustainability in all spheres of life. EI can act as enabler in wider understanding of issues which are more relevant than the ones which are occupying our mind and space. EI is surely the intelligence needed for tomorrow.
Its the best insight into the depths of EQ

Keep up the fantastic work
Carl Rogers, in his 3 weeks event for educators planed very fértile seeds of trusting oneself to feel and share feelings of all kinds in the moment, without judgment. These 3 weeks left me a renewed fundamental trust in myself to learn and grow in a dimension in the human capacity for and delight in feelings called emotions, and feelings such as appreciation, for miracule of being part of the human family, as well as the possibility for appreciate and caring for planet, deep caring and compassion for self and others, and underlying all the feeling of gratitude for human existence itself. The feeling of a growing regard for the essential person of all people, motivated my work in what I’ve called, the inner game, which I attempted to express in six books, The Inner Game of Tennis, Inner Skiing, The Inner Game of Golf, the Inner Game of Music, the Inner Game of Work, and the Inner Game of Stress.
New to the work of EQ, I am wondering how aligned it is with the Rogerian approach, and how different it might be. From the work you’e done with EQ.
The Rogerian three core conditions for change; congruence (authenticity, genuineness), accurate empathy, and unconditional positive regard (nonjudgmental stance) are very much aligned with EQ. In the Six Seconds model we pay attention to how our thoughts, feelings and actions show up and the extent to which they are aligned. Empathy is about self and others and I believe that compassion and acceptance are very much needed for deep change to take place. Your books, Tim, were a great introduction to how limiting beliefs impact performance. The State of the heart report reminds us that emotions play a vital part in self development, we can choose how we think, feel and act to be more intentional and purposeful.
I am very much interested to know emotional intilegence
